The North Canton Public Library has a week of Earth friendly programming planned for Earth Week. It kicks-off with a Lorax Party for all ages Saturday, April 18. Dr. Suess’s The Lorax was first published as a book in 1971. A film adaptation of the book was released in 2012. The story chronicles fictional character, the Lorax, who speaks for the trees, in his fight to protect the environment from corporate greed.
The Lorax party on April 18 will begin at 11 a.m. with live music from Earth advocate and musician, Zach Friedof. North Canton’s Sol Pie Pizza will generously provide free pizza topped with locally grown, sustainably produced ingredients. Lorax themed activities and other treats will be available, and the movie will begin at 12 p.m.
