Join us at the North Canton Civic Center Tuesdays and Thursdays for this collaboration between the North Canton Public Library and the City of North Canton that provides free programming targeted to our city’s older adults each week.

All are welcome. No registration necessary. Programs and supplies are offered at no cost to attendees.

11 a.m. Special Program – League of Women Voters Non-Partisan Voting Discussion: Led by Citizens not Politicians
Trained by Fair Districts Ohio to share this important presentation, Dr. Dreussi will offer valuable information to help plan your vote on the amendment appearing on the November Ballot. A Stark County native, she is a former journalist and retired political science professor. While LWV maintains a strict non-partisan stance with regard to political parties and candidates, thy do advocate for issues of democracy. Citizens, Not Politicians is one such issue.
12:30 p.m. Carl Quatraro will explain the complete story of the American Electoral College system; why it was created to choose the President of the United States and how it works.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 5
1  p.m. North Canton Chocolate Walk
This is an optional social activity and a fundraiser for the North Canton Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online. We will gather at the North Canton Chamber of Commerce  to start our walk at 1 p.m. Family and Friends welcome to walk with us.

Come learn from our local HAM radio group and experts! Amateur Radio (ham radio) is a popular hobby and service that brings people, electronics and communication together. People use ham radio to talk across town, around the world, or even into space, all without the internet or cell phones. It’s fun, social, educational, and can be a lifeline during times of need.
