You’re working from home, teaching your kids, and the world is somehow expecting you to do something great with all the “free time” you have now that you never leave the house. But the fact is, you get done with your day, if you can even tell when your day is supposed to end, and you just want a little entertainment. And you know what? There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that.
The library has a lot of great services for ebooks, e-audio, comics, movies, and TV, but only one service has all of those things, plus music.
If you’ve ever used the Ohio Digital Library (maybe on the Libby or OverDrive app), you may have gotten frustrated that you had to get on a hold list for an ebook or the e-audio. But guess what? There’s never any waiting at Hoopla for books, or the videos or music. Everything they offer is available all the time. Normally, Hoopla maxes out at 15 checkouts a month, but to help out while everyone is at home, Hoopla has lists of credit free items you can checkout without using any of your 15 credits for the month. Pretty cool!
You can use Hoopla on your computer, or you can download the app to a tablet or phone from wherever you get apps. Plus, it’s compatible with Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, and Chromecast. If you need any help, try this handout or email us at email@example.com.
Download the Hoopla app and check off that square on our community engagement “bingo” card!
