This past Saturday, Summer Reading got off to an exciting start, with around 1,600 people stopping by the library to see animals from the Akron Zoo, eat ice cream from Milk and Honey, and sign up for our Summer Reading programs. I was busy taking care of adult sign ups and getting a sunburn, but it was well worth it, as more than 200 adults registered that day. And what did they register for? Well, every time an adult reads a book or comes to a program, they have a chance to win one of our three prize baskets, which are pretty awesome, if I do say so myself.
So what kind of programs are there for adults that they can attend to enter the prize drawings? Well, coming up this Saturday at 1:00 pm we’re going to be doing bullet journaling. And on Monday, June 11, Steve DAurelio, Executive Consultant from Digital Precision Marketing Solutions, will be teaching folks about using email for digital marketing. (Sign up for that one here.)
