There’s a lot of technology behind digital photography, an awful lot of which you don’t need to know. This session will cover the “basic basics” of how your camera catches and uses light, without any technical jargon or confusing terms. Topics include:
o How does light work?
o What does my camera do with light?
o Who’s smarter, anyway? Me or my camera? (Hint: It’s you!)

So You Got a Digital Camera Part 2
When Good People Take Bad Pictures: How To Avoid Disappointing Pictures
Wednesday, January 13 at 6 p.m.
This session covers the most common mistakes made by either you or your camera (and it goes both ways!) and how to avoid them. Topics include:
o Red eyes
o Disappearing heads
o To zoom or not to zoom?
o Dark shadows, blazing sun and other avoidable annoyances.

Each session will include lots of time for questions and answers, as well as a take-home outline of what the session covers, along with some suggested resources for later use.

So You Got a New Dog or Puppy
Monday, January 11 at 6 p.m.
Whether you are working with a newly adopted adult dog, or a new to the world puppy, you need to understand canine behavior basics. Jennifer Mauger of L’Chaim Canine will share the first steps to living peacefully with your new pup through management, behavior modification and training.

So You Got an Android Tablet
Wednesday, January 20 at 6 p.m.
Learn the basics like how to surf the Internet and download apps during this informal session. Program will conclude with a short demo on how to download library books. Registration begins January 1.

So You Got a New Cat or Kitten
Monday, January 25 at 6 p.m.
Whether you are working with a newly adopted adult cat, or a new to the world kitten, you need to understand feline behavior basics. Jennifer Mauger of L’Chaim Feline will share the first steps to living peacefully with your new kitty. Jennifer will discuss litter boxes, vertical spaces, behavior modification and training.

So You Got a Sewing Machine
Wednesday, January 27 at 6 p.m.
Despite the fact that all sewing machines are a bit different, they all function in similar ways. Learn the basics of how to wind a bobbin, thread and do a basic stitch. Registration begins January 1.
