OK. I just saw a stat that blew my mind a little. For the first time ever in 2017, over a million self-published books came out. That’s awfully impressive, but that’s not actually the stat that blew my mind. No, the one that caught my attention was that the number of self-published books grew by 40% from 2017 to 2018.

That’s a whole lot of books, and if you’re thinking about self-publishing, it could be a little daunting. I mean, how does anyone make a success at self-publishing with that sort of competition? Well, the library is here to help with that. On Sunday, March 8 at 2 p.m., we’re hosting a self-publishing roundtable. On the panel are three authors who have successfully navigated the self-publishing waters, and they will talk about their journey, as well as answer your questions.

Here’s a little information about these fantastic authors from their websites.

Jamie Blair
New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author, Jamie Blair, lives in Northeast Ohio with her husband, their two teenagers, a five pound Morkie, a cat that broke into their house and refused to leave, and a hand-me-down cat that’s been passed through the family.

When she’s not busy writing mystery and suspense novels of all kinds (humorous, dark, serious, young adult, new adult, cozy) she’s watching true crime on Investigation Discovery, Vera and Miss Marple on Hulu, Midsomer Murders on Netflix, and listening to Up and Vanished on iTunes.
