Round 3 voting for #LibraryMadness was a pretty darn spirited event, with lots of people excited to see their favorites still in there, and others grumbling just a little (or a lot) as beloved books went back to the metaphorical shelf. But as I’m sitting here looking at Round 4, all I can think is…good luck.

In Fiction, the final matchup is poised to be a good one. Unsurprisingly, given its high vote total in all the previous rounds, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy triumphed over Little Fires Everywhere. In the other matchup, Slaughterhouse-Five took down The Handmaid’s Tale, and this is after beating out Outlander last round, so honestly, at this point, I’m never betting against this book.

Over in Nonfiction, Unbroken defeated Out of Africa (a book I was pleasantly surprised to see make it this far), and Night handily dispatched A Walk in the Woods. Now these two books of extraordinary personal adversity go head-to-head. Should be interesting.

In Classics the message was Brits go home, as two American classics, The Great Gatsby and To Kill a Mockingbird, beat out Pride and Prejudice and 1984. Which novel comes out on top is anyone’s guess, but the real question is will either stand a chance against the YA/Kids winner, which will either be Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone or The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, both of which have racked up the votes every round.

So get voting, folks! Below are the Round 4 matchups. Vote in person or on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram by tagging the Library (@NCantonLibrary) and using the hashtag #LibraryMadness. Voting for this round lasts through Wednesday, March 20.
