The days are getting hotter and our new automatic renewal update is blazing on in!

Beginning on May 1, 2015, we updated our check out systems to automatically renew items three days before their due date for another full loan period. So, as long as your account is in good standing (having a balance under $10, and no blocks on the account), and the item to be renewed doesn’t have a hold on it, or isn’t out of renewals, our system will renew them for you! The renewals will not occur for eMaterials.

Please keep in mind that you are still responsible for keeping track of your borrowed library materials. The automatic renewal will be included in the “almost overdue” reminder notices through your eMail if you have that set up as a notification option on your account. However, we won’t be sending individual eReceipts or text messages for items automatically renewed. It’s always safer to check on your items before the due dates come up just in case something was unable to be renewed. Our mobile app is great for keeping up to date on your account standing anywhere you go! You can also feel free to give us a call and we can happily verify your due dates.

The automatic renewal update has no effect on any items overdue before May 1, 2015. We will not be able to waive any late charges accumulated before this date.
