This past March we tried out a new event we called #LibraryMadness. Much like the NCAA’s March Madness basketball tournament (but renamed to avoid the trademark infringement), we took 64 books that NCPL patrons nominated during February and seeded them in 4 Divisions and let you vote matchup-by-matchup for your favorite book ever. The winner ended up being the extraordinary Night by Elie Wiesel, and to mark that win and celebrate the event, we’re having a book club discussion next Wednesday, June 26 at 6:30 p.m.

So, how exactly is the book discussion going to work? I’m not entirely sure! We have lots of copies of Night, and I hope that folks who have not read it before will take this chance to read and then come discuss it next week. But I’m also hoping we can talk about the books we love and the #LibraryMadness experience in general (and what future tournaments we might want to try).

There’s no need to register, just come enjoy the conversation and light refreshments!
