We’re all doing more and more on our phones (and tablets) these days, but did you know the library is on your phone, too? Well, it’s true. You can read books, watch movies, learn a foreign language, even finally figure out how to tackle Excel spreadsheets, all from a mobile device. If you want to know more about the services the library offers on your Android phone and tablet, you’re going to want to come to my class on Thursday evening at 6:00 pm. (Sign up here, or just pop in—I’m not picky.)

I plan to cover as many of the apps as we can get through, from Libby to Hoopla, Kanopy and Lynda.com, plus more as time allows. Bring your Android device and library card number with you. Some apps require you to know your library account PIN, which we can reset for you here if you forget it, as well as an email you can access. It should be a fun night of troubleshooting and just learning what’s available from the library.

PS If you use Apple products, such as an iPhone or iPad, don’t feel left out! Your class is coming in December.
