Just forget about the rain outside and the predicted snow for tomorrow. Instead, envision Mr. Rogers’ smiling face inviting you to be his neighbor. Isn’t that beautiful?

Many of you clearly think so, as our #LibraryMadness: Battle of TV Shows champ is Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.

Fred Rogers brought kindness and education to television for children starting in the 1960s and didn’t stop until 2001. His show continues on in syndication and streaming so that new generations of children can see a friendly face pop through the door, change his cardigan, and spend a little time. It is something that for many people never gets old.

On a personal note, I would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s #LibraryMadness. This has been one of my favorite programs for the past three years, and I look forward to keeping it going for many years to come. The enthusiasm so many people show for their favorite TV, movies, and books is so exciting for me, and I feel lucky that I get to encourage this passion as part of my job. Thank you all for making this another fantastic March!
