Earth Day is kind of our thing. With the help of the Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Recycling District, the City of North Canton, CHAMP and Know Your Roots, we always host a big event with a recycle fair and all sorts of other Earth friendly activities. We have a Green Team and we genuinely care about our impact on our planet.
Tomorrow is the 50th Anniversary of Earth Day, and our friends at the Recycle District asked us to help promote their Earth Day Chalk the Walk campaign. We enthusiastically jumped on board!
Elizabeth (Adult and Teen Department) and Jamie (Children’s Department) created videos on our new YouTube channel to help anyone who needs to make their own chalk paint. Elizabeth shows how to make puffy paint and Jamie shows how to make a different kind of sidewalk paint.
So get your chalk paint ready and watch our Facebook page on Earth Day (Wednesday) for a chance to win a prize from the Library!
