To my mind, one of the things that makes a library a library is book clubs. I run two at NCPL—First Monday and Classic Lit—and I love them and the folks who come discuss books with me every month. With the building closed, we can’t meet in person, but I’ve started a Goodreads Group where we can still talk about the books on the schedule, as well as talk about books in general.

If you’ve never been to one of the library’s book clubs, you are still more than welcome to join us on Goodreads. Join the conversation about the upcoming books—The Clockmaker’s Daughter and The Little Prince—or jump into the general discussion. And never fear, folks who like meeting in person. Goodreads is just an additional way to talk about books. I’d never give up seeing you all in the flesh any longer than I have to.

I am catching up on some of the self help and business books that I’ve had on my list.
Currently, it’s Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway, by Susan Jeffers
Is anyone interested in this area?
