After 4 rounds, there are only 4 shows left standing, and I have say, they are not necessarily the shows I would have guessed when all this started. The shows are—Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, Jeopardy!, The Wonder Years, and Friends. It’s been an interesting ride to get here, with some truly crazy matchups. (I still think Game of Thrones vs The Golden Girls is one of the most amusing choices voters have ever needed to make in #LibraryMadness history.) And now we’re headed into the last two rounds of voting, and it’s anyone’s guess what might happen.
So, which show will voters prefer, Mister Rogers’ or Jeopardy? Both have much beloved figures at their hearts, and the goodwill amassed over decades for both Fred Rogers and Alex Trebek is huge. (It’s choices like this that make me glad that as the vote counter, I don’t vote in the tournament.) And in the other matchup, will folks go for the nostalgia of childhood with The Wonder Years or the hilarity early adulthood and Friends? If I were a betting woman, I would select to keep my money in my pocket, because it really could go either way.
You now have 5 days to vote for these two matchups and decide what shows will go to the finals. You can vote here in the comments, or you can tag us on social media. (@NCantonLibrary on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) Your other option is to stop in at the library and get a paper ballot at the Reference Desk. Voting for this round ends at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, March 25.
